This album sounds different to other Allin material, with a more "professional" recording quality. Backing band The Murder Junkies [the third GG Allin backing band to bear the name] give a slicker sound to the music, something quite uncommon since Allin's stint with The Jabbers. William Gilmore Weber's guitar playing imparts a "heavier" sound to the music, making this album sound more like heavy metal than punk rock. Allin's vocal performance style had by this point evolved into a deep, animalistic roar: the combination of the vocal performance & the guitar sound made this album akin to a "death metal" release.
